Origin and Habitat: South Africa. This is a small dioecious species that offsets from the base. Subspecies Euphorbia pulvinata variegated and Euphorbia pulvinata cv. Nana. It is propagated by cuttings/offsets, let it dry for a few days, letting the wound heal, then it can be potted. No water for about two months until after the roots appear. I water only during the summer months, during the winter they are kept dry because they are sensitive to frost and prone to rot.
Euphorbias when cut or damaged exudes a thick white milky sap known as latex. This latex is poisonous, and may irritate skin. Wash skin immediately with soap and please, don't get it in your eyes or mouth.
